On behalf of the American Committee for Cultural Policy (ACCP), below is an invitation to a symposium on Sunday, March 18 at Asia Society. The symposium is titled “The Future of the Past – Collecting Ancient Art in the 21^stCentury”. The symposium is co-sponsored by ACCP, a recently formed not-for-profit organization, and Asia Society. The symposium is timed to coincide with “Asia Week,” featuring auctions and gallery openings of Asian art. Although the focus of the symposium is on Asian art, the legal and policy issues to be addressed by the panelists relate to all fields of ancient art. The panelists are a distinguished group and represent different viewpoints.
