The Newly Restructured Siena Program will host a Symposium - June 3 - June 4, 2011:

Defending Aphrodite: Preserving Cultural Heritage through the Enforcement of International Legal Norms

This year, the Tulane-Siena Institute for International Law and the Arts, in cooperation with the University of Siena and the European University Institute, will offer a symposium prior to the start of the program.  The topic of our symposium will be the enforcement of international norms on cultural heritage.  There will be sessions on enforcement in civil actions, criminal actions,  arbitration and by international organizations and ADR.  Papers will be presented by leading scholars invited for the occasion as well as all those regularly involved in the summer program.  The papers will then be submitted as a volume for publication.  Students enrolled in the summer program are invited to attend at no additional fee.  More information about our Symposium will be available shortly.
