Join the Penn Cultural Heritage Center for this lunchtime lecture with Dr. Trinidad Rico, Assistant Professor in Art History and Director of Cultural Heritage and Preservation Studies, Rutgers University. Drawing on five years of ethnographic research, Dr. Rico examines the formalization of a heritage preservation tradition in the State of Qatar to consider the ways in which ideas of Islam are drawn into preservation practice. Brown bag lunches are welcome at this free event.
